However walking up and down hill may not be your thing. I would say about a 20min walk but it is a lovely walk with great views. The location is out of the way but it doesn't take that long to get the the main beach. The Balcony View and Carlo is what makes this simple accomodation supersan! We stayed two nights in a room without the balcony and two nights with the balcony and the balcony room is totally amazing. If you have heavy luggage you can order a porter service, about EUR 8 per big suitcase: it saves a lot of dragging on difficult and sometimes steep steps.
Therefore we chose to buy our own breakfast stuff, and keep it in the space dedicated to our room in one of the common (clean) fridges in the dining room (where you could bring your own meals -a small microwave could be used for heating meals). The breakfast, the only meal you could order, is ultra-simple. To get home we usually took a slow walk about 20-30 minutes through winding streets, passing a little food shop where we re-stocked our supplies. Easy access down to the village and beaches by descending some 300 steps plus a 10 minute horizontal walk. It was nice to be away from the bustle of tourists at sea level.
The room was simple but adequate: we knew what we had booked. From our particular terrace, the sun, which we had from early morning, disappeared at about 5 pm. From the terrace we had a truly fantastic view of parts of the village and the sea. We had pre-booked a room with a private terrace.
